Kommuninvest's lending is financed through short and long-term borrowing programmes on the national and international capital markets. We strive to maintain a presence in established capital markets, to be a well-known and reliable partner and to build long-term relations with investors and securities dealers. We maintain a high degree of flexibility in our borrowing, allowing us to meet investors' needs for securities and providing us with broad access to various credit markets.

Most of our borrowing is secured by issuing bonds (with maturities of more than one year) and commercial papers (with maturities of less than one year). A smaller proportion of our borrowing is conducted in the form of direct loan financing.

We work with maturities varying between one day and 30 years and focus primarily on financial instruments with fixed or variable interest rates. To reflect the profile of our lending operations, we mainly issue instruments with maturities of five years or less. We deal with a broad range of structured products, including currencies, equities and commodities.
