Kommuninvest Cooperative Society

Kommuninvest Cooperative Society is our owner organization. Membership is available to all Swedish municipalities and county councils.

Each member pays participation capital according to a population-based model. At the end of 2009, member equity amounted to SEK 271.6 million.
In conjunction with becoming members, municipalities sign unlimited joint and several guarantees to cover the credit market company’s obligations. In order to limit liability, members have agreements distributing the demand in relation to each member municipality’s debt to Kommuninvest. Further information regarding the guarantee is available here.
